In Malawi, an audience-driven radio programme \u2013\u00a0<em>Nkhani Zam\u2019maboma<\/em>\u00a0or \u201cNews from Districts\u201d \u2013 has captivated the nation by exposing everyday injustices experienced by Malawians. Grievances are articulated through local idioms and proverbs that have little in common with the individual freedoms espoused by human rights activists.
