Behind the makeshift fence of the Dadaab refugee camp in northeastern Kenya, 4-year-old Bashir Hassan looks deep in troubled thought, his eyes cast downward as he hangs his head in his tiny hands. Like hundreds of thousands of other Somalis seeking refuge in Kenya and Ethiopia, Bashir and his family fled their drought-stricken homeland in search of food relief.
